Connect an AI Assistant to OptionsHub

You can connect an AI assistant — ChatGPT, Claude, Claude Code, or another MCP-compatible client — to your OptionsHub book. Once connected, your assistant can read your open positions and portfolio summary. Read-only: nothing in your account can be changed from the assistant.

Included with Standard and Pro plans. You also need ChatGPT Plus (or Team/Enterprise) or Claude Pro (or Team/Enterprise) to add custom connectors — free ChatGPT and Claude accounts don't offer this. Gemini CLI works with a free Google account. See pricing

The connection is protected by your OptionsHub sign-in — the assistant sends you to sign in the first time it connects, and your data stays visible only to you.

Connect

ChatGPT

    Requires ChatGPT Plus, Team or Enterprise.

  1. Open chatgpt.com and go to Settings → Apps & Connectors → Advanced settings, then turn on Developer mode. If it isn't available, a ChatGPT admin needs to enable it.
  2. Back in Apps & Connectors, click Create.
  3. Enter OptionsHub as the name, paste the MCP server URL above, choose OAuth authentication, check "I understand and want to continue", then click Create.
  4. Sign in with your OptionsHub account, enable the app from the chat composer, and ask away.

Claude

    Requires Claude Pro, Team or Enterprise.

  1. Open claude.ai and go to Settings → Connectors.
  2. Click Add custom connector, name it OptionsHub, paste the MCP server URL and click Add.
  3. Click Connect, sign in with your OptionsHub account, then enable the connector from the chat composer.

Google Gemini

  1. The Gemini web app doesn't accept custom connectors yet, so use Gemini CLI. Run this in a terminal:

  2. Start gemini and run /mcp auth optionshub to sign in with your OptionsHub account.
  3. Run /mcp to confirm it's connected, then ask Gemini to use OptionsHub.

Other MCP clients

  1. Open your client's MCP server or custom connector settings.
  2. Create a remote MCP server connection.
  3. Name the connection OptionsHub and paste the MCP server URL.
  4. Complete any sign-in or authorization prompts with your OptionsHub account.
  5. Enable the connection, then ask your assistant to use OptionsHub.

Refresh after the app changes

Your assistant caches the tool list, so after OptionsHub adds or changes features, refresh the connection to pick up the latest tools.

ChatGPT

  1. In Settings → Apps & Connectors, select OptionsHub and click Refresh.
  2. Start a new chat and ask ChatGPT to use the app.

Claude

  1. In Settings → Connectors, select OptionsHub and reconnect it.
  2. Ask Claude to use the app.

Google Gemini

  1. In Gemini CLI, run /mcp refresh or start a new session.
  2. Ask Gemini to use the app.

Other MCP clients

  1. Open the client's MCP server or connector settings and select this connection.
  2. Refresh the tool list, reload the server, or reconnect it.
  3. If the URL changed, paste the latest URL from above.
  4. Start a new chat or session and ask your assistant to use the app.
